Manpower development in air-conditioner business

Due to present circumstances consumer demanding for air conditioners is increasing and there may be a shortage of manpower in this business. Additionally, the manpower being trained to work in the air conditioner and refrigeration business especially is insufficient. Therefore Mahajak aims to build and develop those people who have a knowledge and capability, including traders in air conditioner business to standardize and strengthen skills in accordance with national labor standards.
On 12 June 2020, Mr. Narong Paewpolsong, Secretary to the Office of the Vocational Education Commission signed a memorandum of understanding with Mr. Peeraparb Kanchanachayaphum, Sales Director of Mahajak Development Company on the co-operation for manpower development in the air conditioner business. The aims of the co-operation are:
1. Integrate between government and private sector in the production and development of quality manpower, knowledge, professional skills and keeping up with technology into air conditioner industry
2. Develop students, teachers and staff of educational institutions under the Vocational Education Commission including the third parties, who have an interest to work for the air conditioning profession, to have a potential, efficiency and skills in air conditioner business sufficient for consumer demand.
3. Collaborate on teaching for the air conditioner business to international standards
4. Provide practical experience to create expertise and to be a guideline for occupations including business owners in air conditioner business to standardize and strengthen skills in accordance with national labor standards
Regarding the manpower development in air conditioner business project, the Office of the Vocational Education Commission and Mahajak Development Company will have a meeting together to plan and organize training about technical knowledge and related skills for installation and maintenance of air conditioners for students, teacher and staff of educational institutions under the Vocational Education Commission including third parties, who have an interest to work for air conditioning business. Moreover, Mahajak will also supply equipment for teaching and skills tests including national skill standard testing. In addition, there will be an evolution for the purpose of developing those people in air conditioners business afterward to standardize.
